My Fancy Pants...: My Mom...My Fashion Icon...

Today I had a girls day with one of my closest and dearest friends. We both had the misfortune of losing our moms at a young age and today we were reminiscing about how much we miss our mothers..all the while, we were watching our little girls swim. We talked about all different topics with our mothers being the subject and eventually got on the subject of fashion. We each discussed about how different our mother's style was and how it influenced our current sense of style...

My mother was a classic hippie chic until the 80's then everything was bold colors and big statement pieces..my mother rarely wore black and usually was the most styled person in the room...I loved that about her...

Unfortunately I don't have many pictures of my mother when she was young but recently came across this photo..I think she was 18 in this picture and it was the 60's...I love vintage clothing or clothing inspired by the 60's...it inspires me...and do did she..
