Do you have a favorite item in your closet that while you are flipping through your clothes, trying to figure out what to wear, you come to this item and pause..in awe?
For me, it is my mothers floral sundress. I have many pictures of her wearing this dress, back when she young, healthy, and happy. As a girl, I always wanted to borrow it, but it was too big for me, so I would just admire it instead. Not too long after my mother passed away, I was flipping through my closet and there, hanging next to my other dresses, was her dress. She had hung it there without telling me and attached a note,
"Remember me in this dress, back when I looked good, healthy and happy."
I have never worn it and have left the note exactly where she placed it and on occasion, while rummaging to find something to wear, I come across it and I pause, smile and remember her just as she wanted me to.
