Nooks, Shoes & Hydrangeas

This summer has certainly had some challenges. My son recently broke his arm and before that happened, I feel like I haven't had a break at all from work. Makes me think of Jack from the Shinning, "All work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy." Yup, that's me this summer, a "dull boy....um..girl!"
I seem to get to my computer less and less these days. Instagram and Facebook are so much easier that I wonder, does anyone read blogs anymore?
Here are some of my most recent Instagram pics, which gives a glimpse into my passions, not so much my daily, busy life, but the little things that make me happy.
Hope you enjoy..

These rainbow Colby slides, from Alice and Olivia, were a pair of shoes that I hunted and hunted for weeks after they sold out. I thought I scored a pair, with the end of summer sale on Alice and Olivia website, only to have my order cancel a week later. Annoying!!
So, if you are lucky enough to find a pair, hats off to you, but if you are still searching, here are some alternatives to get you by.

Pearl slides seem to be the trend this summer. I have this old pearl clutch that I've also used this summer and I love it still after all these years.

I always try to add some unique, vintage finds to my nooks which adds color and character. Also, a lot of my pieces, were either my mother's or grandmother's. Miss having them two around. :(

And finally, my Hydrangeas. I love the shade of green they turn at the end of the summer. Next year,  I will add some pink Hydrangeas to my flower garden. They just make me smile.

Thank you for reading~
