Safari Skirt

Wearing:
Kate Spade Heels (HERE)
Top Shop Skirt (HERE)
Gap Denim Jacket (Similar)
Toms Sunglasses (HERE)
Martine Sitbon Bag (old)

Ok...does anyone have any camera tips??? I hate my camera and I don't know if its me and that I am not using it right, but I literally want to bash it with a hammer. The clarity is so bad and but I don't know what to do? Should I make the leap and invest in a ridiculously priced camera??
I would love suggestions...please!

  1. Love that skirt, I probably would have passed it by not knowing how to wear it but you look great!

  4. First off, let me preface this by saying that I am by no means an expert photographer, and I'm still learning myself. That being said: Good lighting and proper framing is key for ANY good photo, regardless of the camera. Buying an expensive camera will only do so much if you don't know how to use it. Trust me - I've learned from experience. :-)

If you're using a point-and-shoot, I'd stay away from distracting elements in the background of your outfit photos like the chain-link fence and the industrial equipment behind it. You should also try editing your photos in PicMonkey. It's free they have some cool Instagram-like features that'll give your pics more dimension. When my DSLR died on me a few months back, I took both of these outfit photos with a point-and-shoot and edited them in PicMonkey:

If you do make the leap to a DSLR, I recommend getting an inexpensive/used one off eBay (and definitely a fixed 50mm lens) and practice mastering all of its features before you shell out a bunch of dough for a fancier model.

    Cute skirt, btw!
